Château du Val de Mercy in Pommard

In 2007 the Château du Val de Mercy expanded its activity to the Côte de Beaune area by setting up a new production facility in a historical property in Pommard; traditional methods of wine making will thus be revived here. The Domaine has also acquired old vines in Pommard and Auxey Duresses. Unfortunately the results of these efforts will be only be available in the market in a few years time.

On the historic postcard displayed to the right you see the mayor's office and right beside it the building of our winery.

Bertrand Thibault, Önologe und Kellermeister im Château du Val de MercyOur know-how

The supervision of the vineyards and the vinification process of the Domaine du Château du Val de Mercy lie in the trusty hands of estate partner and engineer-oenologist Bertrand THIBAULT. Bertrand is the son of a wine-growing family which has influenced the methods of traditional Burgundy wine making over generations.

Tradition, Passion and Patience

The Domaine du Château du Val de Mercy takes pride in bringing its wines to the market just as they reach perfect maturity, after ageing for some years in its cellars.

Rare wines

The red wines from our winery in Pommard are definately rarities. Reduced harvest quantities and small vinyards result in a limited quantity of rich wines made to mature over decades. These wines will develop their full potential after many years in your cellar.

If you want to bring one of these wines into your cellar, then please make your reservation.

Our winery is located in an historc building right in the center of Pommard - next to the mayor's office.
